New Brunswick Metal Sculptor William Robinson

William Robinson’s metal work riffs off the symbols of his previous career as a graphic designer, putting into 3-dimensions the symmetries and balance that make the powerful simplicity of bold graphics.

We first heard about him in 2014 when he graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, winning a Governor General’s award for academic excellence. Since then his silver work has advanced, taking in creative commissions and furthering his production line.

Robinson clearly absorbs the traces of organic design as seen all around us – in tree branches and stellar constellations. His work has a conservative functionality and whimsical challenge to it.

He is emerging from Under the Radar.
